Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) are naturally occurring fats in coconut oil. They are easier and faster to digest than other types of fat.

MCT is easily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is metabolized very quickly by the liver, and they are reported to encourage the use of fat for energy rather than storage. Many studies have shown that MCT oil is replaced by other fats that are healthy weight and body composition.
